Jazz- und Rockband (1990 – 2004)

 

Hard rock, jazzy improvisations or soulful wind movements, self-written arrangements that lead the listener astray before he suddenly recognizes a well-known hit, stage magic and communicative play were hallmarks of the Big Combo of the Gymnasium Antonianum in the 14 years under Wolfgang Aulke’ lead. Only own arrangements of pieces by well-known groups and composers such as Deep Purple, Chick Corea, No Doubt, Freakpower, the Rolling Stones, Free, BAP or Gloria Gaynor were played. Everyone had 'fun' at the GAV (Gymnasium Antonianum Vechta), and the styles go from pop to blues – fungafop blue.
The band still exists today under new leadership.
